By correctly stimulating your dog daily, your dog By correctly stimulating your dog daily, your dog will love your ability to keep their mental and physical needs in mind! Dog training basic fundamentals.

It’s great for helping them learn, lowering stress, increasing confidence, warding off boredom, curbing unwanted behaviour and keeping your dog healthy for a long happy life !

You know your dog better than anyone and what they enjoy the most… 🤸‍♀️🎾🐽🥏🏊‍♀️🧠

If your dog won’t tell you, we will. Your dogs finds your walk around the neighborhood very boring. That walk is more beneficial for you, the owner !

Exercise and mental stimulation are different, but both are essential to your dog’s daily routine. Remember combining both gets a faster result

A consistent balanced routine will diminish all of these behaviors.

CONSISTENT being the keyword. Before you take your dog to fetch this evening expect immediate results 🙃

A statistic showed that most dog owners gave up training after two weeks not seeing results.

If you have left these signs unaddressed for a long period of time they might’ve formed into behavioral habits which in turn will take longer and you may want to seek professional help. Especially before starting any kind of medication !!

We are firm believers that all dog should be off l We are firm believers that all dog should be off leash and that no dog is untrainable to be off leash

The best way to see if you’re a pack leader is to see how your dog preforms off leash

Recall training is habit forming – it follows cue (name call), routine (dog coming to you), reward (dopamine of choice/ being off leash)

allow your dog to disengage and be in nature – then challenge with recall

If your dog comes – reward them: find what your dog likes - this can be a ball, tug, treats or a toy. Anything that will resonate the routine with reward

The ball or tug is much more beneficial when teaching recall and off leash training as it elevates the heart rate quicker and is a form of interval training adding an extra physical element to the exercise attaching even more dopamine and endorphins.

It’s a natural way to stimulate them to as you’re providing a job for their working needs.

If your dog doesn’t come on the first recall – apply a tug to the line – once they come reward

If your dog becomes too fixated in nature and tugs stop working – pull them in to a short leash – this eliminates the fun. Sit, wait and enage is needed and ignoring them for a few minutes whilst eliminating the fun element is the negative reinforcement needed.

This incentivizes them to listen in future. This links back to the fundamentals of correction and reward. Off leash is the biggest reward so by taking it away will reverse them not listening to you very quickly. This resonates you control the fun. Then repeat the process

We suggest don’t rush to take the line off, consistency, and repetition is key in any form of dog training

How we introduce a new puppy to our large breed do How we introduce a new puppy to our large breed dog pack 🤗

It’s kind of simple. We basically throw a dogs in the deep end. Tough love ❤️ but there’s method behind the madness!

If you know dogs you understand they feed off your energy - if you don’t believe this it’s probably because your dog’s weird and you don’t want to admit it’s probably your fault 😉

When we walk outside calm and confident: 1, our pack won’t be phased as their whole day revolves around our energy and 2, the new dog being the new kid in school needs a confident buddy to show them around!

- Otherwise what could a worried energy portray to the pack “who the %#^+$ is this, my pack leader’s not sure about you mate…” and the new dog “where the hell has my mum brought me” 🤣

Dog’s being pack animals they’re welcoming to new pack mates, their pack is built like a family with a stable pack leader the rest follow for guidance. Hostility only comes to play when you put a bunch of random dogs In an area with no pack leader.. sounds like a dog park right 😉🤣

But it’s true, dogs aren’t naturally hostile people stereotype mass dogs in pack being unfriendly but in fact a well structured pack is completely the opposite! Proof is in the pudding 🍮❤️🐾

A dog is a HUGE lifestyle adjustment, that to be f A dog is a HUGE lifestyle adjustment, that to be frank, most people don’t think through enough.

Just because your friend or neighbors dog is well mannered, well trained and has a good temperament, it doesn’t mean they all just come like that!

There’s loads of factors that go into a good dog. 99% of it comes down to the owner. The owner has control of how much stimulation they get, and if they are allowed to behave unruly.

But there’s also factors that are mildly out of the owners control but arguably this is depending on if you got a breed suited to your lifestyle and even the owner’s personality. For example: A German shepherd might sound like a loyal, devoted and smart dog when you read the description online but the day in and out of owning one is hard to put into words. They need a solid pack leader, someone who is no bs and can provide an absolute minimum 2 hours of stimulation everyday. They can also be a 1 person dog so a person who’s passive, lives in an apartment and travels for work all time isn’t a good candidate

While the breeds listed may not be the ‘look’ you’re going for, providing for your dogs needs overrules!

On leash is an obedience exercise. How your dog pr On leash is an obedience exercise. How your dog preforms on the leash is a direct correlation of how your dog respects your pack leadership. In other words; does your dog takes YOU🫵 for a walk?

Dogs who pull🦮, excessively sniff👃, dictate the pace🏎️, react💥, submiss🫣 or excessively mark ⛳️ are signs your dog (or YOU🫵 the owner!) needs leash training

When your dog is on leash it is not time for socialization, your dog doesn’t want to say hi 👋 to another dog, you’re just allowing them too. Leash on leash is not safe socialization!

As a good pack leader, you dictate the pace and direction.

Your leash is a direct communication line from you to your dog, the energy you project will correlate to how your dog preforms on leash

Slip leashes are the best way to train a pully dog – you position the lead on the head muscles therefore you have control over the dog as a whole. If you control the head, you control the body.

Being positioned on the head muscle, you control the head vs the neck. Where the head goes the body follows.

When the slip leash is on correctly the control is taken from the dog onto you, the handler. They are unable to take you on a walk. It puts them in a surrendered state with manifests a calm 🧘‍♀️ dog

The slip leashes pressure train your dog. You dog will begin to associate the feeling of pressure to halting and not continue to pull you.

A dogs native mother, the ultimate pack leader is A dogs native mother, the ultimate pack leader is concrete in her expectations. She would never tolerate inappropriate behavior from her litter. It’s worth a YouTube search if you’ve never looked up a mother dog with how she control her young pups. These lessons from her teach the pups what’s expected and lays clear boundaries. This is what makes her pack leader.

Their native mum controls when they eat, how far they travel and when they play. This is now your job as their new parent and pack leader! These are the principles dogs learn from: fun (exercise), freedom (boundaries) food (a dogs quest in life) when dogs understand who manages these principles you’ve perfectly balanced pack leadership but if your inconsistent in one then you’re off balance.

An off balanced dog will display behavioral problems, confidence issues, aggression, anxiety etc.

So when your dog does something inappropriate, what’s your response?

Think about what that communicates to them. Even if it’s something ‘harmless’ or ‘not a big deal’ your communication to your dog isn’t concrete so how can you expect them to listen at all times?

What do we mean by structured exercise? We mean, b What do we mean by structured exercise? We mean, both mental and physical stimulation.

Not just your dog running around like a lunatic at the dog park hoping it finds a ‘friend’ to socialize with or waking the same 5 blocks of your neighborhood allowing your dog to pull you to sniff anything they want.

Your dog being off leash is the superior exercise, it bonds you and your dog as a pack. It takes a lot of trust from both dog and owner to run freely! Including sniff work, commands and fetch makes off leash time structured. It sets boundaries of your dog going too far.

Instinctual activities increase dopamine such as sniff work and fetch. Sniff work is something you don’t need to train your dog, but when done correctly sniff work stimulates your dog 4x more than an on leash walk. Fetch ignites your dogs prey drive, it’s gratifying and allows your dog to show off. It elevates their heart rate and gives a huge hit of dopamine. Command training increases eye contact, focus and better listening. We suggest incorporating it with these activities listed

For example: get your dog to heel, sit and lay down. Throw the ball while your dog is still laying down then give a release the command once the ball has dropped. Your dog will run to find the ball using his nose.

This is superior combination of off leash, command training, fetch and sniff work. A FULL body and mind work out which will decrease your on leash walk from an hour to 20 minutes 🤗

Barking is natural! It’s one of the most importa Barking is natural! It’s one of the most important ways dogs communicate.

The history of the domestication of dogs is thought (although we’ll never know fully) humans took in wolves to alert danger.

This is even seen in other animals. There are baboons 🐒 that steal dogs, feed them. They keep them in the camp so they’ll bark to alert danger so they can sleep! 🤯

Energy is their main form of communication, but some barking🗣 is normal. It can be:

🥷 A form protection

🚨 A warning letting others know “this is my territory.”

🤸‍♂️ A form of excitement, such as when a dog barks when he wants a ball

The bottom line is simple. As the pack leader–you should be able to control the barking.

If it becomes excessive or obsessive you have a problem⚠️ but if it’s normal barking, it isn’t something that you’d consider “a problem.”

When we see people who cannot manage their dog’s barking, we see an unbalanced person. The dog, therefore, is following an unstable leader and is looking to be challenged. They can’t express this lack of stimulation, so the dog barks. In other words they’re telling you their bored! Obsessive barking is the manifestation of a dog telling you “my needs are not being met” over and over and over again. The result? A frustrated human.

What a barking dog needs is the fulfillment formula.

He needs the physical, and psychological stimulation.

The question is: can the human commit to this EVERY SINGLE DAY?

We have to understand that balance doesn’t happen because we love our dogs. It happens because we fulfill their needs ❤️

Mastering pack leadership is the key 🔑 fundamen Mastering pack leadership is the key 🔑 fundamental in fulfilling your dog’s instinctual needs. Dogs who are reactive with their owners are simply imbalanced due to pent up energy, lack of respect, un-confidence or bad leash handling

Their Native mum🤱, the ultimate pack leader, begins training at birth. She controls when they eat 🍽️, how far they travel 🗺️ and when they play 🤸‍♀️. This is why this training is so important to carry throughout their life.

A pack leader sets limitations and boundaries and is concrete 🪨 in their values and expectations. Never giving mixed communication.

Remember, your leash is a direct communication line for you to your dog. So think about how you feel when your dog reacts. what is that energy communicating to them?

Your dog doesn’t want to the pack leader, that’s too much work, but if they feel there’s not one, they will instinctually fill the void. This is often manifested through reactivity when your dog is feeling unsure.

Remember aggressive outbursts 💥 are not due to aggression. They are an outward expression of the dog feeling insecure 😞 stressed 😥 or unconfident 😕 in a situation.

Mastering fundamentals is the only way you as an owner will overcome aggressive tendencies. Mastering these will reverse all aggression, aggression is the end result of not mastering the fundamentals.
